Starting today and all through the following month Warsaw’s Winosfera on ul. Chłodna 31 will be hosting an exhibition featuring posters from 25 years Malta Festival Poznań. The exhibition was organised to celebrate the anniversary edition of Malta Festival Poznań.

This year’s Malta was an all-round success. As the only Polish Festival, and one of only twelve European events, Malta was awarded the EFFE prize for trend-setters among festivals. The award is a part of a European Commission program initiated by the European Festivals Association. The artists behind “The Magic Mountain”, a play the creation of which was inspired by Malta, and which premiered on the festival in June, received awards from the monthly “Teatr”. Andrzej Chyra received Konrad Swinarski Award for best director of the season, while Paweł Mykietyn went away with a Special Mention.

Winosfera invites for a journey through a gallery of Malta posters. The exhibition features the works the graphic artist Igor Morski, the sculptor Jerzy Kalina, as well as Wojciech Krukowski – the creator of Akademia Ruchu, Grzegorz Laszuk – the founder of Komuna Otwock, Marcin Liber - one of the founders of the “Usta Usta” theatre from Poznań, not to mention the latest posters by Arkadiusz Romański and Łukasz Knasiecki from the Huncwot agency, three-time winners of the prestigious European Design Awards.
