Malta festival's twenty-fifth birthday we celebrated by extraordinary Michael Nyman Band concert by Malta Lake. Despite unfavourable weather, Malta-lovers came to the lake in great numbers and listened to two hour's concert. It consisted of two parts – War Work: 8 Songs with Film and Favourite Film Compositions. First of them was inspired by american, german and french recordings from World War I, the second – consisted of parts of soundtracks from films, e.g. Jane Campion's "The Piano" and Peter Greenaway's films.
